Water Parks
When I was younger, I loved going to water parks. Literally, it was the best thing in the world. I like theme parks in general but especially water parks! I hate roller coasters but I'm fine with huge waterslide. Even if I wasn’t on a slide, the wave pools gave me joy. The artificial feeling of being in the ocean is relaxing. I am older now and I can't get over the fact that everyone is marinating in the same water, like tea bags. The older I get the more of a germaphobe I have become. I can imagine it now, people's boogers getting in the water. Those who secretly pee like it’s their personal space. Just knowing some people did not shower before they got into the water and many other very real scenarios that make my skin crawl.
How could something I love so much turn into a nightmare? I remember there was an emergency once when I was at a water park because someone had gone number two in the water. As a young child, I was in complete disbelief. Like really! You really did that? There are bathrooms you know, but yet you decided to ruin all our fun. That event shook me to the core, and I couldn't imagine myself sharing a large body of water with other people anymore. The worst part about all this is, I still want to go to water parks. But I want to rent it all out, so I don't have to deal with germy people. They should just shut down water parks, most people can't handle such a luxury. I really miss when I didn't care but I can't look past anything I see now. How traumatizing.
